EVERYONE CAN AFFORD
$5 a month for 5 years
For 55 years, The Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts has resourced the Church by providing membership benefits including offerings like Worship Arts and the “Five on the Fifth” emails. As The Fellowship celebrates its 55th birthday, each Fellowship member is asked to consider giving an anniversary gift to the organization so we can continue our support of those in music and worship arts ministries, securing our ministries into our 60th year.
This new giving option makes it financially easy for every member of The Fellowship to support this vital ministry. You can make your gift to The Fellowship monthly or annually.
Here are the options:
- Set up a monthly $5 gift in your online banking program to send a donation to The Fellowship on the 5th of each month for 5 years (total contribution – $300).
- Make an annual gift of $60 for 5 years by check or by credit card. The Fellowship office will remind you annually for 4 years to send your next installment.
- Make a one-time gift (by check or credit card) of $300 for your total commitment to this program.
Other options:
- When your next membership renewal notice comes, choose the Sustaining member option which includes a second mile gift.
- Make a one-time gift of any amount to The Fellowship. (This gift may be given in memory or in honor of a special person).

As a member of The Fellowship’s Financial Advisory Committee I started donating $5 a month to The Fellowship earlier in 2010. Why did I decide to do this? I have often seen the lists of the larger amounts others have donated and wished I could do that too. I really couldn't afford to do a large one-time payment but $5 - that I can do! And I can do that for a very long time! I set up this amount to be sent to The Fellowship each month as a part of my scheduled internet bill payments.
Done! I can be a part of those who want The Fellowship to endure. I joined The Fellowship in 1976 as a young music education major who was serving as a very part-time adult choir director in a local church. Now, more than 30 years later, I am able to reflect on all of those persons who encouraged and supported me as I have grown in my understanding of what it means to be a leader in music and worship arts.
Giving $5 a month is a very small way I can say thank you to The Fellowship for being there for me. Giving $5 a month is a very small way I can help The Fellowship to endure. I want it to be there for my teenage son for the next 30 years, to help him as he grows in his faith through music and worship arts.
